Now Playing: Classic Tragic Hero -- That's Life
I googled myself today and ran across this page I created for myself in college. I logged in and noticed I have been getting 50-60 hits per month.
So, I'm updating.
(Note: For the page that used to sit here, which I am EXTREMELY embarrased by, click here. Also my Myspace Page .)
UPDATES:
*I'm now a 24-year-old screenwriter/musician living in Los Angeles.
* I have cool new facial hair I've dubbed the "William Shakespeare" :
For everything else, I'll refer you to the logs of my life I've kept on the internet the past several years:
Meeksfm Livejournal (Jan. 01 - Aug. 03)
Van-Zee Livejournal (Aug. 03 - Jan. 06)
Meeks In Philly Blog (May 05 - June 05)
Myspace Blog
The World of Baby Billy -- an expieriment in long term storytelling, in progress for at least a year. Chronicles the adventures of Baby Billy, a 2-year-old growing up in the 90's who is starting to notice time slipping away.
And here is, as far as I can tell, as complete a log of my internet projects as you'll ever find:
Classic Tragic Hero -- My new CD, recorded in Feb. of 06 with Stephan Carroll. I wrote all the originals, played guitar, and sang them. Also included are covers of "Lovers in A Dangerous Time," "Hurt," and an original medley called "White Boy Rap." Add us to your Myspace.
BRAIN: DOMINATION!!! -- a website last updated in 1998, although it was probably created in 1996-97. Some of my first efforts with photoshop, and an expose on Teletubbies. I was wierd.
My ZZT Games -- When I was 14-15 years old, I was a big personality in a small subculture made up of 14-15 years olds with big personalities. We programmed really bad games using Epic Megagames's ZZT (Zoo of Zero Tolerence). I ran a company called ULTRAWARE, and the link is to copies of all those horried (but funny) efforts. To learn how you use these games with ZZT, visit the ZZT FAQ.
UPDATE: NOW on YouTube! An Ideal World (55.1MB AVI) -- A short film from late 2004. Tim Delroy wants to be left alone, but when he wakes up one morning to find everyone gone, he must learn to live with himself. 7 Min. Starring William Meeks as Tim Delroy and Jacob Howard as Boy. You might need DivX.
Brettcain.com -- A website I designed and update for my musician friend, Brett Cain. Phone Call on The STARKCAST Download this podcast and zoom to about 24mins to hear my phone call as Billy from Philly, then listen to this jerk from Moorewatch ignore every fact I give then slams me for having those same facts.
Myspace letter on RadioAskew -- Listen in on the last five mins. of this podcast to hear my views on Myspace.
Insanity Personified -- My personal webpage when I was 14 years old. You can't access most of the content (nor would you want to), but note the thanks at the bottom of the page. It'll give you an idea of what a weirdo I was in high school. Then again, weren't we all?
And finally, I am not the only Bill Meeks. Here' a few you might have been trying to find:
Bill Meeks, musician -- A kind fellow who messaged me on MySpace. Check out his instrumental electric guitar tracks.
Bill Meeks, founder of PAMS, a radio jingle company
Any other Bill Meeks's out there? E-mail me and I'll add you.
Well that about raps it up. I'll note whenever I make an update to this page, but I doubt I will very often.
Good night!
